The Hesser Bathroom

Bathroom Remodel in the Standish Neighborhood in 2023. This was a tight remodel. There was a lot of thinking and rearranging to try and fit everything into the small, slanted roofed space. The centerpiece to this bathroom is the classic clawfoot tub. This beautiful tub was given a new, matching faucet along with the sink and shower, tying the aesthetic of the room together, and giving a sophisticated feel.
As beautiful as the tub is, it takes up a lot of space in this tiny room so, one of the ways we kept the room from feeling too cramped was by making an open, curbless shower.
No curb or shower door, leaves the room less cramped and allows a person to move freely in the bathroom. This required the floor to be sloped toward the drain. This was done with a hexagon tile that added a classic look to the bathroom. Another space saver was the addition of the niche for the shower supplies along with the built in shelving for toiletries and storage. Finally a new threshold was placed to transition up to the leveled floor.
